Veetr is a portable sailing dashboard and hardware design for sailors who want useful data without buying into a closed marine electronics stack.

It combines an ESP32 controller, ultrasonic wind sensor, GPS, and 9-axis motion sensor with a Progressive Web App that runs on phones, tablets, and laptops. The current project is best suited for dinghies, daysailers, small boats, charter sailing, and backup instrumentation.

The long-term goal is a sustainable open source product. Today, the complete design is available for builders and contributors while the community grows toward a certified, distributable hardware release.

Veetr is how you pronounce “wind” in Czech.

Large values, responsive layouts, offline installation, and Bluetooth connectivity keep the instrument practical on small boats. Because it is a Progressive Web App, it runs on phones, tablets, and laptops without an app store.
